Dr. Lynch is a professor in the Departments of Anaesthesiology, Pain Management and Perioperative Medicine, Psychiatry and Pharmacology in the Faculty of Medicine at Dalhousie University. She has over 30 years of experience assisting people who suffer with chronic pain conditions, has served as the director of pain research for 2 decades at the QEII Health Sciences Center and is a past president of the Canadian Pain Society.
She was founding president of the Canadian Consortium for the Investigation of Cannabinoids. Dr. Lynch was president of a previous biotech startup company Panag Pharm Inc., which focused on development of novel formulations for pain and inflammation that activate the endocannabinoid system. Panag Pharm Inc. held patents, patents pending and natural health product numbers on several formulations including ocular pain, visceral (bladder) pain and pain associated with arthritis and nerve damage.
